On August 4, 2021, Chris Scoggins, MPH, Director of Special Projects, represented the Center as a panelist at the Two Georgias Initiative’s “Bridging to the Future” conference. The Two Georgias Initiative is a five year grant program funding 11 health partnerships across rural Georgia. The program was created, and is managed by, the Healthcare Georgia Foundation. The initiative is entering its final year and this year’s conference addressed sustainability and long term success. The panel discussed resources available to the partnerships and ways to best position themselves for continued success. The panel also included Dwyane Patterson, representing the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation, a strategic grant maker focused on poverty in the southern United States. The Center works with several of the Two Georgias Initiative partnerships and remains committed to their continued success.
